14th May 2009 - 40 years of Abortion in Canada

On the 14th May 1969, Canadian Parliament passed a bill (Tredeau) amending the Criminal Code decriminalizing homosexuality, making divorce easier and allow open access to women to get abortions right up to the 9th month if doctors ruled that the pregnancy endangered the woman's mental, emotional or physical well being. The Campaign Life Coalition estimates that 3.5 Million abortions have taken place in Canada since 1969.

40 years later, 14th May 2009 the National March for Life took place in Ottawa Over 10,000 people gathered in the the lawns on Parliament Hill to voice their protest against the barbaric killing of defenseless unborn babies.

Conspiracy of Silence

Despite 10,000 prolifers gathering peacefully and marching peacefully down the streets of Ottawa, the main stream media chose to ignore the entire event and not a single news paper on the 15th May 2009 chose to report on this.

The inherent double standards of the main strteam media is very visible when on the one hand they report for a whole week about Tamil protesters who violently stop traffic on the Gardner expressway (mind you that some of these Tamils were members of the LTTE a terrorist organization and as such should have been deported right away), yet a peaceful rally in support of every human beings right to life is blatantly ignored.

The main stream media is filled with liberal and relativistic ideologies who would like to believe that the abortion issue is closed and it is up to a woman to chose. 10,000 prolifers a majority of whom were under the age of 30 storngly disagree with the position of the main stream media.

We prolifers would like to tell the main stream media that it does not have the right or the authority to speak for us.
